Amazing....

That's the only word to describe yesterday. We raised nearly $17,000 at the concert and auction yesterday. That's on top of ticket sales.

Our grand total to Beth and Ciana?
$22,000.00
Amazing.

PRAYERS PLEASE

Ciana was admitted this morning to Hopkins due to a fever. Her blood counts are very low so they are treating her now.

Please say an extra prayer for this sweet baby girl.

WE'RE ONE DAY AWAY!!!!!

Tomorrow is the big day!!
Couple of things:
Yes, we will have a limited number of lunch tickets and concert tickets at the door.
If you have a concert only ticket, you will not be able to get in until 12:30, however if you want to upgrade your tickets at the door, and we have some still available, you can :)
The silent auction will begin at 11:00 and continue until about 3:00
Raffle tickets will be sold and we will have raffles every hour
The response from the community has been outstanding and "thank you" just doesn't seem enough...
We are going to have so much fun - I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!!!

Do you still need a ticket??

We can't take any more mail ticket orders because, well quite frankly, your tickets won't get to you in time. But, you can go to Champions and buy them ahead of time, or you can swing by the Citgo station across from the Barbara Fritchie restaurant on Route 40 and ask for Brian. He's got tickets for you there.

We're getting down to the wire here and we're crazy with last minute details to make sure this event is successful - not just for Beth and Ciana - but for all of you wonderful people who have helped us, sold tickets, bought tickets, made donations, volunteered your time, *cough* listened to me freak out *cough*, and helped in so many other ways.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Yesterday.

THE VIDEO IS NOW POSTED AND RUNNING

Misou Ho, a fabulous photographer (who also happens to be my brother's significant other, lucky me) took some photos yesterday so we could send them in to the TV station. (Those are her still photos you see on the broadcast.

Ciana - aka "Hurricane". Never would I have ever believed she's sick. She laughed and giggled and blew kisses and ran around.....

What a sweet face...

So then Misou said, "Let's go outside and take some pictures!" It was beautiful so we all gathered outside. Little did I know they'd make me do these things......
"you want me to do what?"
And there she goes....

She's already over and I'm still not sure if I want to do it.....

"And now you want me to do what???"

Hey! We made it!!

Um, please don't leave me up here....
(Those of you that know me are now in hysterics over the fact that, number one, I actually climbed a tree and number two couldn't get down! Beth certainly was!)

Seriously. Get me down please.

And here's where we realized the tree had injured me on my journey down. I had a boo-boo. Beth was quite amused. Me? Mot so much.

Tim & Beth - he's single ladies (He paid me to say that)

This is what talking to each other several times a day while organizing a benefit concert will do to people. We used to be friends.

It was great fun :)

We're Still Here!!!!

Just BUSY!!!

Who knew how much work it would be to plan a concert, plan an auction, finish Grad School (in my case), take of children (in everyone's case) and try to make sure Beth is OK?

Apparently we are all overachievers.

But, Beth just completed her fourth round of chemo and, while each treatment gets harder, the end of those nasty treatments is on the horizon. Not that we don't LIKE the chemo because, let's face it, it's working!

But it's hard on Beth. Very hard.

She still has surgery to get through and I know that's looming in her mind.

But she's pushing through this and can't wait to get to the finish line, where she will be cancer free, healthy, and probably have a head of newly grown hair the likes of which we have never seen.

The concert is a little over two weeks away and tickets are FLYING out of here.

We're looking forward to it and hope to see everyone there!

EASTER IS NOW MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY!!!!

So, the radiologist who read Beth's most recent PET scan wants to know when she had surgery.

Um, Beth hasn't had surgery yet. So.......?????

So, why did the radiologist ask that question?????

Because all of the tumors are G.O.N.E.!!! Outta there!!! Skedaddled!!!

Apparently the chemo and the prayers are working wonders and the doctor is amazed at how well she's responding to treatment!!

This doesn't change her treatment plan - she still has three more rounds of chemo (including the next one on Monday) and surgery to get through.

But the goal all along has always been to shrink those nasty little boogers as small as they could get them - and if they disappeared altogether??? Even Better!!!

Please give a prayer of thanks this Sunday. And thank you to all of you!
Happy Easter!!!
